Christina Green is a songwriter, composer, performer and multi-instrumentalist working in both the folk/acoustic and contemporary classical music contexts. Spanning styles from folk/rock to cabaret/chanson, her songs convey snapshots of everyday life, stories, observations and experiences with polished lyrics and guitar work, strong images and storytelling, and are complemented in live performances by occasional instrumental pieces. As a composer Christina writes in a range of styles, with recent works for piano combining jazz and classical elements.
“Christina sums up the 21st century lyrically and musically in 2 verses and a chorus. Her ability to make every word count is astonishing ”

News - April-June 2024
After a fabulous time at the Melbourne Ukulele Festival enjoying hearing some of the performers involved and playing to audiences at Bar 303 and the Glimpse Art Space in High Street, Northcote, I am moving into the flow of writing for 2024, and looking forward to being part of the Melbourne Composers’ League’s Elbow Room concert in April and the Newport Folk Festival in June.
I am continuing to work on recordings in progress. Seven songs are up for download on the Goldenrod site (click on the fifth/final music note icon link [next to bc] at the top of website pages to visit this), and more are on their way in 2024. I’ll post gigs as they fall place.
