Free online event - I am delighted to be playing a couple of songs in the Not The Dancing Dog open mic with a group of singer-songwriters connected in various ways to the open mic night that took place at The Dancing Dog in Footscray (now gone). With thanks to Dean Lombard for organising this 🎶, this will be my first livestream. Looking forward to it!

Performing with Neesy & The White Pearls @ 5pm as part of a huge line-up of artists supporting Dandenong Ranges Emergency Relief Service (DRES). Show starts @ 1pm to 11.30pm - Entry $10. Help make DRES money and raise awareness of the amazing job they have been doing single handidly since 1998, celebrate local live music with a huge local lineup. Why? DRES is a not for profit emergency relief organisation based in Belgrave assisting people facing crises, offering food, clothing, showers, counselling, advocacy, financial assistance, school breakfasts or just offering a space for people in need of connection. DRES takes responsibility for areas ranging from Belgrave to Yellingbo to Mt Dandenong which is why the bands of the hills & Sooki Lounge are proud to put their names to this event, so please throw in your support and come along. Tickets $10, whole event goes 1pm - 1am; Neesy + the White Pearls - 30 mins.

Performers Miranda Hill (double bass), Laila Engle (flute), Karen Heath (clarinet), Thea Rossen (percussion), Zachary Johnston (violin), Ben Opie (oboe), Phoebe Green (viola), Natasha Conrau (violin), Dan Richardson (percussion), Katherine Philip (cello), Judith Dodsworth (soprano), Eleanor Jackson (poet), and the Consort of Melbourne, directed by Stephen Hodgson. I am delighted to be involved in Homophonic!, part of the 2020 Midsumma Festival. With acknowledgement to the Estate of Candy Royalle and University of Western Australia Publishing, I look forward to the premiere of Edge Sky Self, a new work commissioned for the concerts setting the poem of this name by Australian poet Candy Royalle, with spoken word performance by poet Eleanor Jackson. I am delighted and honoured to be amongst the shortlisted applicants this year, and look forward to participating in the concert, at which the winner of the award will be announced. The Alex Legg Memorial Foundation supports emerging singer-songwriters through this award, established as a legacy and memorial to Dandenong Ranges musician Alex Legg.
