Free online event - I am delighted to be playing a couple of songs in the Not The Dancing Dog open mic with a group of singer-songwriters connected in various ways to the open mic night that took place at The Dancing Dog in Footscray (now gone). Performing with Neesy & The White Pearls @ 5pm as part of a huge line-up of artists supporting Dandenong Ranges Emergency Relief Service (DRES). Show starts @ 1pm to 11.30pm - Entry $10. Help make DRES money and raise awareness of the amazing job they have been doing single handidly since 1998, celebrate local live music with a huge local lineup. Why? DRES is a not for profit emergency relief organisation based in Belgrave assisting people facing crises, offering food, clothing, showers, counselling, advocacy, financial assistance, school breakfasts or just offering a space for people in need of connection. DRES takes responsibility for areas ranging from Belgrave to Yellingbo to Mt Dandenong which is why the bands of the hills & Sooki Lounge are proud to put their names to this event, so please throw in your support and come along. The Leggacy Sessions is the radio show of the Alex Legg Memorial Foundation, a hills-based organisation maintaining the legacy of hills musician Alex Legg and supporting and mentoring emerging musicians.

The ALMF Scholarship Presentation Concert 2019 will feature performances by the shortlisted applicants for the 2019 Alex Legg Memorial Foundation Scholarship. I am delighted and honoured to be amongst the shortlisted applicants this year, and look forward to participating in the concert, at which the winner of the award will be announced. The Alex Legg Memorial Foundation supports emerging singer-songwriters through this award, established as a legacy and memorial to Dandenong Ranges musician Alex Legg.

Writers' Block #55 hosted by Frank Jones - an evening of songwriters in the round and around a theme. More details to follow.

I am delighted to be involved in the finals concert of the 2019 Roddy Read Songwriters' Award as a shortlisted entrant. The concert takes place during the Maldon Folk Festival, which runs from 1-4 November 2019 in venues in Maldon, Central Vic. 2019 brings the 46th Maldon Folk Festival - see http://www.maldonfolkfestival.com/ for info.

The annual blessing of pets will take place from 4pm on the south lawn at St John’s; I look forward to contributing live music to suit the occasion. A bbq wiill follow the service, with donations to support Save-a-Dog Malvern.
